Dave Eaton
Picture of Artist

Dave lives in Natick MA
"I especially enjoy the extreme flexibility working a lathe allows when creating unique artifacts. It's one of the only woodworking tools where one is allowed to virtually complete an object without
relying upon additional methods of work."

He says it permits him to impart his own personality into every unique piece of wood, more intensely than that which traditional woodworking methods allow. Every raw piece of wood he starts with, be it a log or a plank he says, can be shaped a one of a kind  item worthy of the beautiful tree it was harvested from. Laurie and Dave work as a team when creating their art. They compliment each other with Laurie's  reative mind providing discoveries, proper shape and color balance and Dave's engineering
ability creatively turning abstract ideas into reality. Presently, they focus their talent on creating a variety of objects and forms, from pens to bowls to whirligigs to birdhouses and hollowforms. While Dave has received guidance and instruction from the best local authorities in woodworking, Laurie pursues workshops and opportunities which offer artistic development. Presently they market their work by word-of-mouth, and through a few select shops, galleries and exhibits.
